Young In Spirit Seniors (YISS) – Our March meeting started off with a bang, thunder & rain, but we managed to trade the deluge for the comfort of Brodnick Hall. Leprechauns, shamrocks and lots of green were evident in celebration of the upcoming St Patrick’s Day. Spring IS coming and many of us will be thinking of reducing some of the items that we have accumulated over the year. Jake Buerger of the Boone County Solid Waste went over the many services his agency offers from shredding secure documents to disposing of that old sofa. Give him a call at (859) 334-3629 for additional information. They really have many ways to help by recycling or safe disposal. Our next luncheon meeting will be on April 8 at 11 AM and Rebecca Julick will be speaking about Honor Flights for Veterans.
