Bereavement Committee

When there is a death in a family, the parish is able to offer support in several ways.  Guidance will be provided to the families in the planning of funeral liturgies and receptions at the parish.  Several members are present to assist as needed at the funeral.

Anyone who is a good listener with a caring and sympathetic heart is welcome to join the bereavement ministry. Availability during the day is helpful but not required. In-service training is provided as needed.   Upon family request this ministry can also serve a buffet meal in Brodnick Hall following funerals held at St. Timothy church. Volunteers are needed to provide food (one side dish or dessert),  assist with setup,  and serving at the meals.
