DESCRIPTION:Thanks to our neighbors across the street at Union Presbyterian for allowing us to use their hall for our October meeting. We got a lot done. We had many fleece throws donated. Thank you\, donors! The officers\, except for the secretary\, agreed to serve another year since the past year was so short. Nominations are open for that position. Next on the agenda was the Christmas Party & Pick-a-Prize Raffle. Please bring donations at the November meeting. Some suggestions were gift cards\, alcoholic beverages & home made treats. Our next monthly meeting\, hopefully in Brodnick Hall\, will be on November 12. They also had a drawing for a couple of tote bags with water bottles. Darlene Holden & Tina Kentley were the lucky winners. DESCRIPTION:It’s the most wonderful time of the year. But not for everyone. Many families are struggling to pay rent and buy food. It makes it near impossible to purchase gifts for their children. This year we are providing items consisting of clothing\, coats and clothes for up to 60 families with over 200 children in the Florence/Union area and Gallatin County. These children would not have anything under their tree without your help. Please prayerfully consider taking a tag or two or three. Tags are located on tables in the gathering space. The tables are broken down by gender and ages. After you purchase the item PLEASE ATTACH THE TAG to the item. DO NOT WRAP THE ITEMS\, as we place everything into a Santa Sack that are provided by Kate Schmitt. All items must be returned to church no later than Sunday November 30th.\nIf you are interested in sponsoring an entire family\, please contact Pat Seuberling at pseuberling@saint-timothy.org NO LATER THAN November 11. \nRent Assistance Fund\nWe are reaching out to ask for your support not only for clothing and wish list items for the children but also to contribute to a RENT and FOOD ASSISTANCE FUND FOR FAMILIES sponsored by the Angel Giving Tree Program. This program was extremely successful last year so we are asking for your participation again. Unfortunately\, in the past\, several families have faced eviction due to difficulty paying the December rent and January Rents\, resulting in having to leave behind the toys and clothing we’ve provided. We kindly encourage you to consider making a cash\, credit card or check donation to the Rent Fund. We are also asking for Kroger or Walmart gift cards in $25 dollar increments to help with food. These can be placed in an envelope marked Rent and Food assistance and placed in the mailbox on the table in the gathering space\, or you can bring to Pat Seuberling in the parish office. SUMMARY:Outreach Community Service Project - Making Homeless Bed Rolls Nov 15
DESCRIPTION:Many of us are blessed to have a warm\, dry home to spend our nights in a cozy bed. Unfortunately\, hundreds of individuals don’t have that same luxury. Once the shelters are full\, many spend their evening outside in all kinds of weather. We have been called to help our neighbors. St. Timothy will be participating in a Community Service Project on November 15 from 9am–Noon. We will be making bedrolls for the homeless. \nThese bedrolls are made with tarps\, thermal survival foil\, fleece blankets\, duct tape and Para cord. Each blanket will keep a homeless person dry and warm down to negative nine degrees. This can be the difference between life and death. \nThe cost of each bedroll is approximately $20 each. Our goal is to make 100 – 150 bedrolls. The cost of materials can add up quickly. I am asking for donations of fleece blankets\, size 50×60\, and emergency survival thermal blankets and other supplies. These items can be purchased on Amazon\, either separately or in bulk\, using the URL or QR code provided here. SUMMARY:The Rite of Entrance into the Catechumenate  and Welcoming of the Candidates
DESCRIPTION:As the OCIA Coordinator at St. Timothy since 2020\, the Team and I have realized that not all parishioners really understand the various Rites involved in the OCIA program. We currently have 20 adults\, 11 teens and about 10 children all preparing to come into the church this Easter! Hopefully this article will help you appreciate the process and support those seeking to enter into full communion in the church. \nThe Rite of Entrance into the Catechumenate and Welcoming of the Candidates will occur at the9:30 Mass on Sunday\, Nov. 30. This Rite is the beginning of the faith journey of those wishing to be received into the order of catechumen (those not baptized) or candidate (those who have been baptized in accordance with the Church). This ceremonial Rite begins with the catechumens and candidates waiting just outside the doors of the Church. After the opening song\, entrance procession\, and greeting\, they begin knocking on the doors. This is symbolic of asking for help on this journey\, seeking to become closer to Him\, and knocking\, and the door will be opened. At the invitation of our Pastor\, Fr. Bolte\, they enter and stand just inside the doors behind the baptismal font with their sponsors. Fr. Bolte invites the church community to welcome these catechumens and candidates\, pray for them\, and support them in their initiation into the Christian faith by Baptism\, Confirmation\, and Eucharist. \nWe\, as parishioners\, are obligated to share our faith according to our apostolic abilities. By celebrating this Rite during a Sunday Mass\, we can encourage and support these catechumens and candidates on their faith journey and commitment to the Church. \nPlease help us support them and pray for them. It is a wonderful way to begin the season of Advent!

SUMMARY:Millions of Monicas
DESCRIPTION:Many of us have children who are struggling to embrace their Catholic faith or have left the church entirely. Like St. Monica\, as women we persevere in prayer for their joyful return to full unity with the Catholic Church. Millions of Monicas\, a nationwide prayer ministry was created for mothers in this situation. We are not a support group and do not share sensitive information. We believe that by coming together monthly and uniting our hearts and voices praying together\, we can bring strength and joy to each other. We want to encounter God through prayer for ourselves and our children. Join us if you are a mother\, grandmother\, stepmother\, Godmother\, aunt\, etc. to pray and grow in holiness and humility for our children’s faithful return to the Catholic faith.
